Day 09_Rock Climbing and Silly Walks

10.02.2013
The post I had promised yesterday. WAH-LA.
During class, we first went to a park in Columbus that had a rock climbing wall and drew some of the climbers. However, to our dismay, it was going to close in an hour so we had to hurry.

Being at the park for only an hour, we headed back to class to draw from videos. The video we drew from was my very favorite: Ministry of Silly Walks.
I love Monty Python and about all of their skits. Haven't seen them?
SEE THEM. NOA. GO!

See ya next week. c:

Exercise 05: Hands of Lines

We had to draw 16 hands total for this weeks exercise.
I'm happy with some and hate others.
I am, however, always happy with the little tiny hand redos for some of them.

Tomorrow, I'm going to post my gestures from my class on October 02.
Bye. c:

Day 08_The Live Model

09.30.2013
This class, we had a live nude model.
While drawing him, I noticed that a set of drawing I did look liked keys of an animation.
To my surprise, my teacher had actually told him to do just that.
I'm happy that I actually was able to capture the shift of weight in the model from similar pose to similar pose.

Day 07_Stalking Easton

09.25.2013
This time, we took a 'field trip' to the Easton Mall to draw from life.
Besides getting in my 50 drawings that are mandatory for each drawing session for class, me and my friends wandered about and saw the sites.
We stopped in Gamestop for Palkia and pokeballs.
And then to Cinnabon because it is SO GOOD.
(also my first time having it so, wooo.)

Day 06_Boxing Sumo Ice Skaters, GO!

09.23.2013
Gestures that were done in class.
They were done from three different videos.
Most were actually done with the video still playing and just trying to remember the pose and get is down as quick as possible. The others were done from freeze frame.

The first video was of Yu-Na Kim from the 2010 Olympics.
Second video was the World Title match between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman.
The last video was of sumo wrestlers wrestling.

Day 05_Classes in Ballet

For one of my Cafe Sketch classes, we got to sit in on a classic ballet class at the BalletMet.
We got to sketch intermediate dancers and their basic practice routine.
All in all, I really love sketching ballerinas. Especially, if they do classical ballet.
Also, we had to only focus on one ballerina.
(That is difficult for whatever reason.)
