Day 07_Stalking Easton

09.25.2013
This time, we took a 'field trip' to the Easton Mall to draw from life.
Besides getting in my 50 drawings that are mandatory for each drawing session for class, me and my friends wandered about and saw the sites.
We stopped in Gamestop for Palkia and pokeballs.
And then to Cinnabon because it is SO GOOD.
(also my first time having it so, wooo.)

Day 06_Boxing Sumo Ice Skaters, GO!

09.23.2013
Gestures that were done in class.
They were done from three different videos.
Most were actually done with the video still playing and just trying to remember the pose and get is down as quick as possible. The others were done from freeze frame.

The first video was of Yu-Na Kim from the 2010 Olympics.
Second video was the World Title match between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman.
The last video was of sumo wrestlers wrestling.

Day 05_Classes in Ballet

For one of my Cafe Sketch classes, we got to sit in on a classic ballet class at the BalletMet.
We got to sketch intermediate dancers and their basic practice routine.
All in all, I really love sketching ballerinas. Especially, if they do classical ballet.
Also, we had to only focus on one ballerina.
(That is difficult for whatever reason.)

Exercise 03_Swing Your Hair and Dress

We had to draw from life or video of women with long hair, long dresses, or both.
At first I thought it would be hard to find these references.
However, the internet has proven me wrong once again.

Poses range from the waltz, ballroom dancing, and Iraqi interpretation dancing.
Guess which be which.

Exercise 02_Homework With Dancing

A later homework post for Cafe Sketch.
No scanner this weekend and class.
Here it is... I'm such a terrible personne.

Day 04_Behind the Dates

I've been having teeth problems and it has put me behind on my post and dates.
So, just to say, these sketches are from September 16.
I've yet to put my missed class make-ups up. They shall come in a future post.

Day 03_The Nude and My Death

We had a nude model to draw from in our most recent class.
I'd have to say, this guy was in general, quite fun to draw.
He had good poses and an interesting body shape.

In conjunction with my basic synopsis of the pictures yet to come,
this week has been utterly terrible. I've been fighting a cold that seems to just
get worse and worse.  I would of had more than my 52 gestures, but had to leave early
because of breathingproblems. I'm really just want this cold to go away so I can
be back to normal. When I am doing better, I will post some sketches I did from
YouTube videosto make up for what I had missed when leaving class early.

Ready to actually see the gestures?
I shall quite speaking, and let you progress through the post.
